Why this directory exists
Most rural homes and cottages in Ontario rely on a septic system. When a tank backs up, a bed starts to pond, or a house sale needs an inspection, the search usually starts with a phone and a list of names that mixes pumpers, excavators, plumbers and a few companies that closed years ago. Google files all of them under the same category, and it is hard to tell from a map pin who actually does septic work in your township.
I built this directory to sort that out. Every company here is open, has customer reviews, and describes septic work on its own website, or is filed by Google as a septic business. Each listing shows what the company says it does, from pumping to new systems to advanced treatment units, and says plainly when we do not know. Membership in the Ontario Onsite Wastewater Association is checked against the association's own directory.
I work in local search, so I know how much of what ranks is out of date or thin. This is meant to be the opposite: one province, one trade, kept current, and corrected the same week when an owner tells us something is wrong.
How listings are vetted
Google files plumbers, excavators and landscapers under septic system service too. We kept the ones whose own websites describe septic work and left out the ones that do not, so a plumbing franchise with one septic line on its menu does not crowd out the local pumper.
Membership in the Ontario Onsite Wastewater Association is checked against the association's own member directory and shown only when the company is listed there. Licences, BCIN registrations and insurance are shown as each company states them. We do not verify them, so ask.
Right now that is 497 septic companies in 54 Ontario cities, last refreshed 2026-10-09.
Owners can claim their listing for free. Every claim is checked by a person: a real local business, a matching email domain or a call to the number on the Google listing. Paid placements are marked as featured, premium or best-of wherever they appear.
Corrections and removals
If a listing is wrong, or you want your business removed, tell us. We answer within a week and rebuild the directory with the change.
